ok, my car has been sputting or as they say, “coughing” under acceleration. I’ve been reading what this might be on the internet but not quite sure as there is alot of opinions out there. Sounds like it could be several things, MAF, coilpacks, etc.. What’s the best way to start? and ideas of what it MAY be…Anyone ever have this issue???

Sounds very much like a Mass Air symptom and they are fairly expensive. There is a driveway fix for them though. If you pull off the unit and pull it apart you will see it’s rather simple inside. Usually it’s just that the contacts get dirty so take some rubbing alcohol and a few qtips and very carefully clean all the built up carbon on the contacts. Re-assemble the MAF using a thin bead of silicone to seal it.

You should find after doing so that you feel a new life in your car.
